Buying an instrument from the Marketplace

From the Marketplace, navigate to the instrument that you wish to purchase and click on the Buy price.

The place order screen will be displayed. Enter the mZAR amount that you are willing to pay in order to buy the instrument token(s). Make sure that you have sufficient mZAR funds to cover the order amount and the trading fee.

If you have insufficient funds, you will not be able to place the order. You should also make sure that you have sufficient funds to purchase the minimum amount of tokens, as specified by the seller. If all validations have passed, you may press the Place Order button.  

Selling an instrument from the Marketplace

From the Marketplace, navigate to the instrument that you wish to sell and click on the Sell price. 

You must hold (have ownership of) the amount of instrument tokens you wish to sell. If you do not hold the instrument tokens, the Place Order button will not be accessible. 

You must also make sure that you sell the minimum amount of instrument tokens, as specified by the instrument’s issuer. 

If all validations have passed, you may press the Place Order button. 

Once the order has been successfully placed and it reflects in the counterparty’s order manager, the counterparty may choose to accept or decline the order.

Please note that instant settlement is not guaranteed. The counterparty might not action an  order the moment  it reflects in  their order manager. 

As the trade’s initiator, you may cancel any pending orders before they have been accepted. 

Buying an instrument from the Account view

Identify the instrument token in your possession that you wish to buy more of. Navigate to the Actions button and click on the Buy option. The order screen will automatically launch.

Selling an instrument from the Account view

Identify the instrument in your possession that you wish to sell. Navigate to the Actions button and click on the Sell option. The order screen will automatically launch.
